Business Analyst - Policy Migrations

Salary: $124,000 - 164,000 per year Requirements:

• Skilled Business Analyst with an analytical background and attention to detail
• Business knowledge of policy administration systems and our MM Life, Annuity, and Disability Income products
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks independently in a fast-paced environment supporting complex, high-volume policy migrations

• Elicit, analyze, validate, document, communicate, and obtain stakeholder approval for business, operational, and system requirements across policy conversion, target-system, and downstream-system workstreams
• Define scope and objectives based on user needs and applicable industry and regulatory requirements
• Analyze gaps between source and target systems, identify technical dependencies, and develop solutions that address business needs and system limitations
• Devise or adjust conversion rules, data mappings, and procedures for legacy-to-target policy migrations
• Translate business and user needs into requirements for data extraction, ETL, transaction files, conversion logic, and target-system functionality
• Guide and advise less-experienced Business Analysts and help business and technology colleagues understand migration requirements
• Formulate technical requirements for development teams building target-system functionality for migrated and new products
• Verify data, calculations, and regulatory correctness throughout conversion and policy cycle-up; audit and balance converted data between source and target systems
• Learn and apply conversion logic, cycle-up methods, and calculations across source and target policy administration systems
• Work with developers, analysts, business partners, IT teams, and vendors to resolve issues and support new functionality
• Plan, develop, and execute conversion, integration, and application testing
• Consult with business partners and IT teams to address issues found during testing, audit and balance activities, or production
• Influence requirements decisions across workstreams and lead or consult on escalated conversion and production issues, including root-cause analysis

We are seeking a Business Analyst for our Policy Migration team, which is moving policies from legacy administration systems to a single target platform. The work covers policy-data conversion, target-system enhancements, and updates to dependent systems. You will collaborate with actuaries, developers, vendors, and project managers as part of a major ongoing company initiative. The preferred location is Springfield, Massachusetts, though remote work will be considered. The posted rate is $75–$82 per hour, and the role must be paid on a W-2 basis; the eventual rate depends on a comprehensive review of relevant qualifications, experience, education, internal comparisons, and market and business factors.
