Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Observer in San Francisco, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for shoppers and staff. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM Tue 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM Wed 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM Sat 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM Sun 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or tenants by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or maintenance issues. Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas to help deter unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence. Assist with closing procedures, crowd flow observation, and/or other assigned post duties that support daily operations within a busy retail environment. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
