Job Description Senior Academic Advisor – Lee Business School [R0146012] Role As a Senior Academic Advisor in UNLV’s Lee Business School Undergraduate Advising office, you will provide information and guidance to students, helping them define and achieve their educational and life goals while adhering to university and college academic requirements and standards. The position focuses on at‑risk students and the implementation of interventions to support UNLV’s Progression, Retention, and Completion initiative. Responsibilities Participating in recruiting events Providing academic guidance to students via appointments, e‑mail, presentations, and information sessions Referring students to other campus offices as needed Creating, editing, and disseminating information for handouts, web sites, and catalogues Reviewing and processing paperwork submitted by students Maintaining relationships with colleagues on campus and at other Nevada System of Higher Education institutions Maintaining relationships with the college’s department chairs and faculty Serving as an informational resource to the college’s deans, department chairs, faculty, and staff regarding academic policies and administrative procedures Participating in UNLV’s Academic Advising Council Additional duties may include academic intervention programs, group advising coordination, and prospective student advising and outreach. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and three years of related professional experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to starting employment. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree.
