Duties and Responsibilities

The Bureau of Credentialing Services is looking for a self-motivated MS Compliance Officer II to continue the Department's mandate in maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in delivery of service. This position serves as the department liaison to meet personally meet with personnel representing federal, governmental, city, and county law enforcement agencies for the purpose of carrying out the requirements of the Florida Statutes pertaining to processing and issuance of driver licenses and motor vehicle registrations. Duties and responsibilities of this position include reviewing, developing, and assisting in amending procedures; training other employees; reviewing, processing and issuing motor vehicle registrations in the Florida Real-Time Vehicle Information System (FRVIS) and entering payments in the Cash Receipt System. In addition, this position will be responsible for communication and responding to requests from all law enforcement agencies to prepare and process motor vehicle registrations; maintaining and securing highly confidential files; examining and processing requests for decals and license plates; and preparing, balancing, and reconciling financial transactions to include ledgers and journals. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both orally and in writing.

• Knowledge of, and ability to apply, state motor vehicle and driver laws related to driver license and registrations and DHSMV operations, policies, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

• Using the Online Registration and Identity Operating Network (ORION) and/or the Florida Real-time Vehicle Information System (FRVIS) and the Cash Receipt System (CRS).
• Providing customer service, handling confidential and/or sensitive information.
• Acting as a team lead.
• Performing data entry and/or maintaining electronic databases.
• Researching, reviewing and analyzing information to make informed decisions.

Job Related Requirements

• The position you are applying for is subject to a Level 2 background and CJIS security clearance, to include fingerprinting as a condition of employment pursuant to Chapter 110.1127, 435 and 943, Florida Statutes. As an applicant for positions requiring CJIS security clearance, you are required to disclose criminal records that have been sealed or expunged. 

General Information

• FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
