We’re looking for a dynamic trainer and strategic thinker who can bring content to life, connect with an audience, and build learning experiences that drive real understanding and results.

Position Summary:
The Director of Learning and Development reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and plays a pivotal role in the success of our franchise network by developing, teaching, coordinating, and overseeing training programs for new and existing franchisees. This position requires a strategic thinker and skilled instructor who can design and lead comprehensive training curricula, collaborate cross-functionally with management to identify and address training needs, and drive operational excellence across the franchise system. The Director of Learning and Development plans and implements training for incoming franchisees, and personally delivers content through seminars, workshops, and individual training sessions to existing franchisees to improve their business processes and profitability. This role requires the ability to teach and present in an engaging, interactive environment that keeps franchisees actively involved and drives real understanding and adoption. Success in this position also requires strong project management skills, keen attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional training and content. This role requires exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams), as well as proficiency with Zoom, Monday.com, AI tools, and Learning Management Systems. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Franchisee Training
- Create and lead a comprehensive training program for New franchisees, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to operate proficiently within the brands established standards, including pre- and post-training sessions for live trainings and Ongoing Training for existing franchisees
- Required to attend and lead New Franchisee Training in person at the National Support Center approximately 5 days per month, coordinate Wednesday Webinars, and participate in Fireside Chats and Regional Meetings; these responsibilities may evolve over time as business needs change
- Continuously enhance and update training materials to reflect changes in the industry, technology, and business practices
- Assess training effectiveness through performance metrics and feedback loops, making necessary adjustments to optimize learning outcomes
- Complete ongoing analysis of competitor training annually and as needed
Agencies of Excellence
- Lead content creation and curriculum development for the Agencies of Excellence Program, partnering with Technology, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to design engaging, interactive training modules covering sales, marketing, customer service, and compliance, delivered through in-person sessions, e-learning platforms, webinars, and manuals
- Train new participating offices and help identify prospective offices as needed
- Coordinate new franchisee visits to Agencies of Excellence in collaboration with New Franchise Services
- Conduct pre- and post-training sessions for Agencies of Excellence participants as educational needs dictate
- Continuously gather feedback from franchisees and stakeholders across functions to improve training programs and adapt to evolving industry trends
National Conference
- Develop and deliver content for the annual National Conference, leading agenda creation in collaboration with other departments, and sourcing keynote and outside speakers as applicable
- Gather post-event survey feedback from conference attendees, speakers, and partners to assess the conferences effectiveness and identify opportunities for enhancement and compile a summary report for Leadership on key insights and outcomes
IMPACT Selling
- Develop, deliver, and continuously update content for IMPACT Selling training for franchisees and their staff, in collaboration with other departments, to strengthen the training and program over time
- Attend and lead IMPACT Selling training
- Coordinate franchisee registration and partner with the Operations team to drive attendance
- Gather post-event survey feedback from attendees to identify opportunities for enhancement, and compile a summary report for Leadership on key insights and outcomes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Engage in close collaboration with multiple departments, such as Operations, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Technology, to ensure that franchisee training is in alignment with both overarching business objectives and regulatory compliance
- Serve as a bridge between franchisees and the National Support Center, conveying feedback, insights, and concerns to facilitate continuous improvement
- Support and communicate brand quality standards and objectives with franchisees, gathering feedback to ensure the Home Helpers Home Care mission, vision, and BOLD values are executed
- Exhibit exceptional presentation skills, effectively delivering content to all franchisees and internal NSC staff
- Frequently use online webinar systems, Zoom or other applications and resources in conjunction with the delivery of training
Anticipate and perform other administrative duties as needed, or requested
- Properly document communications within our CRM application when working one-to-one with franchisees
- Effectively organize and track progress, with the ability to provide and present reports as needed or directed
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of training programs and partner relationships
- Analyze training metrics and partner performance data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to enhance operational efficiency
- Frequently use Microsoft Office applications and other general website portals
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- Education or training background; at least 3 years’ experience developing and presenting training
- Strong experience in presenting, training, and public speaking
- Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams), along with proficiency in Zoom, Monday.com, and AI tools, and general computer skills such as internet research Experience and/or ability to build training in a Learning Management System
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, manage priorities, and meet deadlines

Working Conditions:
Working Hours/Environment
- Minimum 40 hours per week including evening and weekend hours as needed
- Work can be performed in or outside of the office as business needs dictate

- Travel requirements may range from 25% to 50% based on business needs
Physical & Mental Demands
- Frequently required to sit at a desk/workstation for long periods of time
- Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time
- Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
- Moderate lifting and carrying of deliveries, supplies, files, etc. – sometimes up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to speak to and hear employees/clients via phone or in person
- Body motor skills sufficient to enable the incumbent to move around the office environment, as well as navigate airports, hotels, and other locations when traveling on business
