We are currently looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. The Accounting Clerk at Rhoads Industries supports the Financial Controller in the financial operations of the company. This role involves assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other day-to-day accounting activities. The Accounting Clerk ensures that financial processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with organizational goals.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist in day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card transactions, and cash transactions.
• Assist with closing procedure, including processing journal entries and accruals.
• Assist with preparation of monthly account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with gathering documentation for various internal and external audits.
• Support compliance with company policies.
• Learn and support additional accounting processes as they develop.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Your Background

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ year of experience in accounting or finance required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Experience in the industrial services or government sectors is a plus.

The Work Environment at Rhoads

• The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.
• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in an automobile.
• May require walking and standing on irregular, uneven surfaces in an industrial setting and possibly at increased heights, climbing and descending ladders and ship stairways or entering confined spaces.
