Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities, tailoring assessment methods to their unique needs.
• Develop dynamic treatment plans based on evaluation findings, ensuring they are aligned with best practices in physical therapy.
• Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions and exercise programs, while educating patients and their families on injury prevention and home exercise strategies.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation utilizing electronic medical record systems and submit charges for services rendered in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in community outreach programs, demonstrating Jackson Physical Therapy's commitment to improving community health.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, and in-service training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Your role will involve assessing cases ranging from postoperative rehabilitation to managing chronic pain. Through individualized care plans and targeted interventions, you will significantly contribute to your patients' rehabilitation journeys, fostering their independence and functional abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Valid state licensure in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficient in computer use, including electronic health records and word processing.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting, particularly focused on orthopedic therapies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage diverse patient populations with respect and cultural sensitivity.
• Experience in community engagement or health outreach initiatives is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
