The coach will coach, develop character and provide direction to student athletes, fostering skill, discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork in lacrosse. The coach must interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents and community, and follow the mission of the school. Positive communication strategies, organizational skills, and safety awareness are key requirements. Responsibilities The assistant varsity girls lacrosse coach reports to the Athletic Director and will be responsible for: Coaching practices and games. Establishing team goals and rules, communicating them to all. Promoting the program and ensuring student safety. Providing character development and mentorship. Qualifications Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the high school level or above is preferred. Good communication and organizational skills. Available to practice after school, weekends and evenings. Commitment to program. CPR/First Aid Certified (preferred).
