Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Level III NICU

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level III NICU
- Required competencies: dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Valid compact or state RN license required at the time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Experience managing ventilators (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP)
- Skills in umbilical artery/vein catheter (UAC/UVC) and arterial line care
- Proficiency in central/implanted line care and IV therapy, including IV vasopressors
- Ability to administer surfactants and steroids
- Knowledge in feeding management, including bottle, breast, gavage, and tube feeding
- Experience with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome care
- Understanding of infection control and isolation precautions

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates, including monitoring and assessing patient conditions
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following hospital protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support families by providing education and emotional support during neonatal care

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Compliance deadline for credentialing is the Tuesday prior to start date
- Background checks and fingerprinting required for submission
- Return-to-office policy includes submission of required documentation
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager or director
