Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Directing physical therapy treatments tailored to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore or enhance muscle function, following proven treatment plans.
• Evaluating clients using various diagnostic tests to assess their functional capabilities and determine appropriate interventions.
• Developing and updating individualized care plans in collaboration with clients, interdisciplinary team members, and care managers.
• Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective delivery of care.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, traction, and manual therapy techniques while educating clients and their families about home exercises and rehabilitation practices.
• Evaluating home environments and making recommendations that support clients' independence and safety.
• Documenting clinical findings comprehensively and submitting reports in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Participating in case conferences to review patient progress and collaboratively adjust treatment plans as required.
• Engaging with clients and their families to provide at-home support and guidance, helping them navigate their therapeutic journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve guiding patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Our client population is diverse, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with varying needs, from musculoskeletal issues to post-operative rehabilitation. You will play a vital role in empowering individuals to regain their independence through targeted physical therapy interventions.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience
