Highly visible Commercial Leadership Role Leading Business Development Development for North America About Our Client Our client for the Director of Business Development Industrial - North America opportunity is a leading global manufacturer and supplier for automotive, commercial vehicles, heavy duty and off highway, marine, HVAC, and industrial. This company has a strong history and track record with over 10,000 employees globally manufacturing, engineering, and sales office across the world. Job Description Guide the business development of the North America market to ensure they meet business objectives. Leading a commercial and business development team driving growth and development of an emerging business Develop and lead the commercial and business development strategy while being a hands on player coach Develop executive relationships with customers, channel partners, suppliers, and strategic partners Define a compelling value proposition, addressing unmet customer needs. Collaborate with customers to develop a joint technology roadmap and strategize with the commercial and product development teams Lead activities from initial customer engagement through to bid submission and business acquisition Ensure technical proposals align with customer programs and are consistent with the engineering guidelines Coordinate system simulations and verify that customer performance targets are met with support from the performance and systems teams. Gather all necessary requirements and conduct a gap analysis compared to the standard product offering. Lead customer technical presentations, ensuring value proposition is clearly communicated and aligned with customer expectations. Lead Technical Sales Engineers and Account Managers ensuring they are growing and developing and while also supporting the overall business goals and objectives The Successful Applicant Bachelor's Degree required, Mechanical Engineering degree preferred but not a must have Master or MBA is a plus Minimum of 15 years of experience in industrial manufacturing working with highly engineered products in Commercial Leadership, Product Management and Product Line Management, or Business Unit Management. Must have a strong hunter mentality developing and scaling a growing business Experience leading sales engineers and account managers leading and growing a team, ideally across the North America region Experience calling on data centers, hyperscalers, power generation, EPCs, MEPs, End Users related to components and subsystems Strong technical background Experience in customer-facing roles working with all levels of customer contacts dealing with complex engineering issues - product system architecture and gap analysis Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations and certifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience driving a go-to-market strategy, deployment and execution Strong business acumen - voice of customer, value propositions, and customer centricity focus Strong communication skills, verbal and written with an open and direct communication style Ability to address global stakeholders including the CEO and Board Members What's on Offer Base salary $225,000 - $250,000, annual bonus and incentives, full benefits, 401K and match, vacation, holidays, relocation package if needed etc. Highly visible global role with global promotion and growth opportunities. #J-18808-Ljbffr Page Executive
