The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.As the Operations Project Manager, you will lead key strategic projects across the business, working cross-functionally to implement solutions, troubleshoot problems and monitor the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.What your day-to-day will look like:Create and manage cohesive project programs and plans with identifiable critical paths, task dependencies, risk/issue mitigation processes and major milestonesWork with business process owners to identify and scope areas of opportunityCreatively scope, manage and implement projects to meet business needsProvide leadership for project execution for both internal departments and external clients; offer direction and guidance to the project team and communicate project requirements to internal and external stakeholdersBuild strong relationships and collaborations with senior leadership to support company goalsDevelop customer presentations that illustrate solution components and value propositionsSupport other project managers and project team members as neededAt a minimum, you'll need:Bachelor's degree in an analytical field or equivalent related work or military experience or a minimum of 5 years experience in logistics, transportation and/or warehousing1 year of experience in operations, preferably in manufacturing or logistics and/or Experience with Carrier Procurement, Load Planning & Execution, Freight Audit and Payment or Transportation AnalysisProject and/or Program management experience and the willingness to either obtain or maintain the Project Management Professional certification (PMP).Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and experience working with or implementing Transportation Management software.Lean or Six Sigma experience or experience with Value Stream MappingIt'd be great if you also have:Microsoft Project experience/Project Management Software experienceAvailability to travel up to 30% of the timeRisk Management ExperienceExperience with Agile MethodologiesMaster's degreeLean or Six Sigma Certification and/or PMPExperience in a customer-facing roleExcellent communication and leadership skillsThe self-motivation to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environmentDoes this sound like you?
