Safety Manager

Hutch Paving is currently seeking a Safety Manager to lead and support our safety program across multiple construction job sites. This role focuses on jobsite safety, incident investigations, employee training, and maintaining OSHA/MIOSHA compliance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can work closely with field crews, supervisors, and leadership to maintain a strong safety culture. Responsibilities Investigate jobsite incidents and determine root causes Conduct random jobsite safety inspections and correct hazards Maintain OSHA/MIOSHA safety compliance and documentation Lead safety training, new hire orientation, and weekly toolbox talks Track safety metrics, incidents, and training records Manage PPE inventory and safety equipment inspections Lead monthly safety committee meetings Thorough documentation Coordinate with insurance representatives and regulatory agencies when needed Qualifications Experience in construction safety preferred Knowledge of OSHA/MIOSHA regulations Strong communication and organizational skills Detail-oriented Ability to travel to local job sites as needed OSHA certifications preferred (OSHA 30+) Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health benefits Paid time off Opportunity to lead and grow the company’s safety program 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Vision insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr hutchpaving
