Requisition Number : ENVIR001178 Locations Showing 1 location Description Job Responsibilities Implements health and safety programsat assigned locations which arealigned with theorganizationalsafety management system. ImplementsISO 14001environmentalmanagementsystemwhere applicable. Coordinates and implements the applicationand trainingof safety rules, policies, and initiatives that help to create a safe workplace. Maintains OSHA logs, EHS records, and reporting for internal and external use. Managesenvironmental compliance and sustainability initiatives (hazardous waste, air emissions, water, obtaining and maintaining permits,etc.) directly and in coordination with external consultantsfor multiple facilities. Managessite activities with regulatory agencies to verify compliance, resolve situations, and maintain a cooperative working relationship. Escalates/reports potential violations and implements corrections as needed. Conducts frequent safety and environmentalauditsand takesimmediate corrective action if required. Recommends and implements EHS related capital projects for supported facilities. Investigatesworkplacesafetyand environmental incidents through root cause analysis andpartnerswith theoperations team to implement corrective actionsto correct problems and prevent future occurrences. Manages workers’ compensation forsupported facilities. Performs other duties as assigned, which may include leading projects of varying scale or scope. Job Skills Requirements Advancedknowledge and understanding of applicable EHS regulations ensuring facility compliance with Federal government agencies (i.e. OSHA and EPA), local agencies, and safety regulatory requirements. Strong knowledge of manufacturing environment safety (i.e. industrial hygiene, ergonomics, machinery guards, interlock systems, industrial vehicle training, PPE, etc.). Experience in implementing comprehensive safety, environmental, and sustainability projects. Ability to investigate anddefine rootcause, collect data, establish facts, and use sound judgment to draw valid conclusions. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, computerskills, data analysis and reporting tools, and other applicable applications. Ability to work independently to carry tasks/projects through to completion while meeting established deadlines. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in occupational safety,chemicalengineering,mechanicalengineering,environmentalengineering,or relatedscience disciplines,or equivalent education and experience. Experience Requirements Sevenyears of EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Equal Opportunity Employer.
