Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients presenting with mood disorders, assessing the frequency, intensity, and duration of their symptoms.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, tailoring interventions to meet unique needs and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for effective client intervention.

• Educate and empower clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster a proactive approach to mental health.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans and therapeutic approaches as needed to optimize outcomes.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs within the community, helping to reduce stigma and enhance access to resources.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards to ensure high-quality care and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily supports individuals suffering from mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will work closely with various vulnerable populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your role will empower these clients to overcome barriers, pursue recovery, and improve their overall mental health through compassionate and informed support.

• Active and current state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
