Commercial Account Manager (CAM)

Overview Dobbs Equipment is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager (CAM) to sell, rent, and lease all new and used John Deere equipment and allied products. The CAM will develop partnerships with current and potential clients to grow market share in their territory. Responsibilities Sell and promote the entire product line distributed by Dobbs Equipment Grow and develop customer relationships and loyalty to increase market share Prospect and cold call to increase customer base and market presence Quote and negotiate prices, credit terms, prepare contracts, and record and close orders Provide on‑site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections, and technical support Maintain a contact‑management database and call log for the designated territory Manage market awareness and report lost sales Provide status reports to sales manager on achievement of goals and objectives Manage and maximize rental conversions Meet or exceed company targets for units, dollars and gross profit Control sales‑related expenses Attend training and sales meetings to stay current with new equipment and special deals Provide feedback to other departments and trade‑in information when requested Adhere to safety policies of Dobbs Equipment and its clients Qualifications Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Equipment sales experience Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and customers Strong problem‑solving skills Self‑management and self‑motivation Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook Basic arithmetic skills and ability to apply them in all units of measure Quick learner and able to think creatively Extensive driving required; overnight travel required Bonus: bilingual language skills Work Environment The work environment includes wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather, and generally quiet noise levels. The employee will occasionally be exposed to these conditions. Physical Demands The employee is required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, occasionally sit; lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.
