This full-time remote position offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in guiding clients towards their mental health recovery journey, specializing in treating various eating disorders.

Work Environment\n

This position allows for flexible remote work from any location, providing you with the freedom to manage your professional life while actively participating in our meaningful work. While the primary setting is virtual, collaboration with team members and participation in meetings will facilitate a supportive environment that promotes continuous learning and professional development. You will engage with clients during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ eating disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their unique treatment needs.

• Develop tailored treatment plans by utilizing assessment results, and collaboratively set realistic and attainable recovery goals with clients.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to support clients through their recovery process.
\n
• Lead therapy sessions that foster discussions addressing distorted beliefs related to body image, food consumption, and self-worth, promoting more positive self-perceptions.
\n
• Guide clients in cultivating healthy coping strategies, enhancing emotional regulation skills, and developing effective mechanisms to counteract disordered eating behaviors.
\n
• Work closely with the treatment team to ensure integrated care approaches, while addressing the holistic needs of clients throughout their therapeutic journey.
\n
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, helping them understand the complexities of eating disorders and creating a supportive environment for recovery.
\n
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in team meetings, case discussions, and continuing education opportunities to continuously elevate your clinical skills and stay informed about advancements in the treatment of eating disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. You will engage with a diverse clientele, applying tailored treatment modalities to address the unique psychological and emotional challenges each patient experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of Kansas.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapies, particularly in the context of treating eating disorders such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
\n
• A strong understanding of the nuances surrounding eating disorders and related co-occurring conditions to better inform treatment strategies.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients that fosters an open therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of relevant clinical experience as a mental health therapist, particularly in outpatient settings focused on eating disorders.
