Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ eating disorder symptoms, including their psychological and emotional well-being, to establish clear treatment needs.

• Design individualized treatment plans that are responsive to the unique challenges faced by each client, including collaborating on achievable goals for recovery.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailored to address the specific dynamics of eating disorders.

• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions that challenge clients’ distorted beliefs about body image, food, and identity, empowering them to embrace healthier perspectives.

• Assist clients in formulating effective coping strategies and emotional regulation skills to combat disordered eating behaviors in a positive manner.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, ensuring coordinated care that addresses each client’s holistic needs for effective therapy outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.

• A strong understanding of evidence-based practices for treating eating disorders, with proficiency in CBT, DBT, and ACT.

Compensation and Benefits\n
