Headquartered in Camarillo, California and with offices around the world, we are seeking an accomplished Director of Product or Head of Product to lead the strategy, execution development, and commercial growth of our market leading Food Safety Management System (FSMS) SaaS platform.

This leader will oversee full product lifecycle - from concept and scope definition through design, release, adoption, and post-launch growth - ensuring our solutions deliver measurable value to customers across food, healthcare, and adjacent markets., and have a proven track record of launching, and scaling a FSMS or QMS SaaS solution to $20M+ in annual revenue during their tenur e.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience delivering and scaling software solutions in the Food Safety, Quality, or Compliance sector - ideally within a highly regulated, global environment.

This leader will oversee the full product lifecycle—from concept and scope definition through design, release, adoption, and post-launch growth - ensuring our solutions deliver measurable value to customers across food, healthcare, and adjacent markets.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision

• Define and execute the strategic vision for the FSMS product line, aligning product multi-year roadmap with business goals and regulatory demands for a global FSMS SaaS platform.
• Identify market opportunities and customer needs across Food Safety and adjacent regulated industries.
• Drive product-market fit and scalable growth strategies aligned to revenue and margin targets.
• Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into differentiated product capabilities.

Product Execution & Delivery

• Establish strong metrics around adoption, engagement, retention, ARR growth, and customer value realization.
• Direct end-to-end product lifecycle management, including market research, roadmap prioritization, business case development, launch planning: discovery, requirements, UX collaboration, development, release, adoption, and optimization.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers and Product Owners operating in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Partner with Engineering leadership to ensure alignment between product vision and technical execution
• Champion Agile product development practices and continuous improvement.
• Track and optimize product and feature performance through defined KPIs, adoption metrics, and customer feedback loops.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to prepare product forecasts, pricing strategies, and growth roadmaps.

Commercial Growth & Scaling

• Demonstrated experience scaling a FSMS or QMS SaaS product to $20M+ in revenue while in a product leadership role.
• Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to support go-to-market strategy, pricing, packaging, and positioning.
• Identify and Support expansion into related verticals (e.g., Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Manufacturing).
• Own business case development and portfolio prioritization based on ROI and market opportunity.

Regulatory & Domain Leadership

• Maintain a deep understanding of global food safety and quality regulatory landscapes, including FSMA, BRCGS, SQF, ISO, GFSI, and related standards such as healthcare quality and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 13485, CAPA systems).
• Ensure product capabilities align with evolving regulatory and audit requirements across regions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and market evangelist, representing the product with key customers, partners, and industry bodies on digital FSMS solutions in Food Safet and adjacent industries.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers and Product Owners embedded within Agile development squads.
• Establish strong product management disciplines including discovery frameworks, roadmap governance, OKRs, and outcome-based planning.
• Build a high-performance, customer-obsessed product culture.
• Partner with engineering, UX, regulatory, and commercial teams to deliver best-in-class cloud-based quality, compliance software, and ensure predictable delivery in partnership with Engineering, UX, Regulatory, and Commercial teams.

Qualifications:

Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive product management experience in SaaS, preferably in SaaS FSMS, QMS and food safety industries.
• Deep knowledge of global regulatory landscapes in Food Safety
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, or similar).
• Familiarity with validation requirements (CSV), audit workflows, CAPA systems, supplier quality, and risk management modules.
• Proven Experience using Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (Codex) or other AI Product and Programming acceleration is desirable.

Leadership Competencies

• Proven experience leading a FSMS or QMS SaaS solution from concept through launch and scale.
• 10+ years of experience in product management with 5+ years in a senior product leadership role (Director, Head of Product or equivalent).
• Demonstrated success scaling a product to $20M+ in annual revenue while in a leadership role.
• Experience managing and developing Product Managers and Product Owners .
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial orientation.

Salary Range (applicable to California):

$190,000 - $225,000 base salary + bonus DOE
