Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Molina Healthcare, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting primary care providers in recognizing and managing mental health and psychosocial issues, serving as an integral member of the primary care team.

• Conducting thorough patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations to inform treatment recommendations for primary care providers.
\n
• Providing brief, focused interventions to patients requiring mental health services and advising on referrals to specialty mental health facilities when necessary.
\n
• Initiating follow-up communications with patients to assess progress and adjust treatment approaches as deemed appropriate.
\n
• Developing and implementing relapse prevention plans, facilitating stable mental functioning in patients.
\n
• Identifying 'at risk' patients and collaborating with the team to prevent the deterioration of their conditions.
\n
• Coordinating health services delivery in relation to behavioral health care, fostering connections with both internal and external treatment providers.
\n
• Documenting patient progress meticulously and maintaining accurate treatment charts to inform ongoing care coordination.
\n
• Facilitating patient education and self-management strategies to empower individuals in their own treatment journeys.
\n
• Engaging in regular consultation with clinic management regarding behavioral health services and contributing to program evaluations.

• Ensuring adherence to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals while executing other duties as assigned.

Your practice will focus on a diverse patient population, including individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds facing mental and physical health challenges. You will work closely with patients who may have complex needs, requiring a multi-faceted approach to their care, ensuring that all treatment is respectful, confidential, and centered around the patient's best interests.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license.

• Proficient knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and psychotherapeutic methods, including family and group therapy.

• Understanding of DSM-IV diagnoses and behavioral therapy techniques.
\n
• The ability to assess individual patient needs and formulate appropriate treatment strategies.

• Excellent communication skills for building effective relationships with peers, patients, and families.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills to maintain clinical records and prepare reports accurately.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 – 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
