Job Summary The E-commerce & Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational performance of the business across direct-to-consumer (DTC/V2C), wholesale, inventory management, supply chain, and customer fulfillment. This role serves as a key cross-functional leader, ensuring seamless execution from product planning through customer delivery while driving operational efficiency, profitability, and an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced consumer goods or retail environment. This position works closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Distribution, and external business partners to support company growth initiatives and operational excellence. Primary Duties & Responsibilities E-commerce & Direct-to-Consumer (V2C) Operations Own the end-to-end operational management of the company's direct-to-consumer and e-commerce business. Manage the complete product lifecycle, including new product setup, product launches, pricing, promotions, inventory availability, and product discontinuations. Partner with Marketing and Commercial teams to execute promotional calendars, seasonal launches, product campaigns, and digital merchandising initiatives. Ensure product data integrity across all e-commerce platforms, including descriptions, pricing, images, inventory availability, and customer-facing content. Monitor website performance metrics including conversion rates, sales trends, average order value, customer acquisition, inventory availability, and fulfillment efficiency. Collaborate with customer service to resolve escalated customer issues while continuously improving the overall customer experience. Identify opportunities to optimize operational workflows that improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability. Operations, Supply Chain & Inventory Management Lead inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment, and allocation strategies across wholesale, e-commerce, and retail channels. Manage purchase orders from creation through receipt while maintaining optimal inventory levels to support demand. Monitor open purchase orders, backorders, production timelines, and vendor performance to minimize supply disruptions. Collaborate with HQ and distribution center to ensure timely product availability. Analyze sales trends, demand forecasts, inventory turns, weeks of supply, and stock levels to proactively identify risks and opportunities. Develop replenishment strategies that maximize inventory productivity while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Coordinate shipping, receiving, returns, transfers, and subcontracting activities to ensure operational accuracy and compliance. Inventory Systems & Data Management Maintain overall inventory accuracy through forecasting, inventory audits, and bimonthly inventory reviews. Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of new products Novelties, pricing structures, and vendor information within ERP systems. Manage ERP system integrity with a preference for SAP. Oversee system integrations between SAP, warehouse management systems (WMS), EDI partners, and e-commerce platforms. Troubleshoot system issues, file transfer errors, inventory discrepancies, and data synchronization problems with internal teams and external vendors. Develop standardized reporting, dashboards, and operational scorecards to provide visibility into key business metrics. Reporting & Business Analytics Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reports analyzing: Sales performance, Inventory health, Gross margin performance, Sell-in and Sell-out, Backorder trends, Forecast accuracy, Customer fulfillment, Operational KPIs. Provide actionable insights and recommendations that support business growth and operational improvements. Identify trends and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership. Financial Management Manage departmental operating budgets and monitor controllable expenses. Review vendor invoices for accuracy and approve operational expenditures. Analyze freight, warehousing, fulfillment, and operational costs to identify cost saving opportunities. Support financial planning through inventory valuation, forecasting, and purchasing recommendations. Ensure purchasing decisions align with budget objectives and profitability goals. Vendor & Partner Management Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers, technology vendors, and service partners. Monitor vendor performance through established KPIs and implement corrective action plans when necessary. Coordinate onboarding of new vendors and manage ongoing vendor compliance requirements. Cross-Functional Leadership & Project Management Serve as the operational liaison between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, IT, Distribution, and Executive Leadership. Lead cross-functional operational initiatives from planning through execution. Manage projects including new product launches, warehouse transitions, store openings, remodels, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives. Develop project timelines, allocate resources, identify risks, and ensure successful project completion. Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and operational training materials. Train team members on new systems, processes, and best practices. Support audits, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement programs across the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred. 2-5 years of experience in operations, inventory management, supply chain, retail operations, consumer goods, or e-commerce. Experience managing ERP systems, preferably SAP. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, and data analysis. Experience in e-commerce systems, warehouse management systems, and EDI integrations. Strong understanding of inventory planning, forecasting, purchasing, and supply chain best practices. Experience in managing vendors and cross-functional business relationships. Proven ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment. Work Environment Primarily onsite position with close collaboration across departments. Fast-paced, growth-oriented environment requiring adaptability and strong organizational skills. Flexibility to support seasonal business peaks, inventory events, product launches, and special projects. Travel Requirements Up to 10-20% domestic travel. Occasional travel to distribution centers, retail locations, vendor facilities, trade shows, and corporate meetings as business needs require.
