About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Sales for North America to lead the strategic and operational development of the business in the region. This senior commercial leadership role is pivotal in defining and executing the North American commercial strategy across various business segments and customer groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team, driving business development activities, and personally managing strategic customer relationships. The role requires a strong background in consultative and project-based technical sales, particularly in the automation and material handling sector, and the ability to lead a highly technical sales organization. The Vice President of Sales will also serve as the primary commercial interface between the North American business and the German headquarters, ensuring close alignment on strategy, pricing, and long-term business objectives. Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, with an MBA preferred, and a proven track record of leadership within highly engineered industrial equipment, automation, or material handling solutions. Strong financial and commercial acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential. The role demands a candidate with a strong connection to the DACH region, ideally through education or professional experience, and a demonstrated success in working within German companies. While fluency in German is beneficial, it is not required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on customer engagement and be willing to travel regularly throughout North America and internationally.
