As a Mental Health Counselor at Centered Living Counseling Services, you will primarily work remotely while also having the opportunity to engage with clients in our outpatient office in Baldwin, New York. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and document cases meticulously from initial consultation to treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions to inform treatment decisions.

• Design individualized treatment protocols and develop intervention and recovery plans for diverse groups including individuals, couples, families, and community collectives.

• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, growth, and personal insight.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with their evolving needs and objectives.

• Collaborate extensively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Facilitate seamless referrals to external programs and services when needed, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support.

You will engage with a diverse array of clients, each with unique backgrounds and mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent in the state of New York.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is mandatory.

• Strong proficiency with electronic health record systems is preferred, especially with platforms like AVATAR.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills complemented by a compassionate demeanor and strong interpersonal abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
