Senior Bookkeeper

Our client is a family office. They seek a Senior Bookkeeper to join their Edison, NJ office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle for multiple entities, including personal, trust, and LLC accounts
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments, deposits, and accurate recordkeeping
• Reconcile bank, credit card, investment, and loan accounts while resolving discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and support month-end and year-end close activities
• Monitor cash flow, account balances, wire transfers, and overall liquidity
• Track household expenses, budgets, capital projects, and financial activity across entities
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on year-end reporting, tax preparation, and related documentation
• Maintain organized financial records, vendor information, contracts, and insurance documentation
• Support payroll administration for household employees, including payroll tax compliance

Required

• 2+ years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience
• Family Office, Client Services, or Public Accounting industry experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Experience managing multiple entities and intercompany transactions
• Experience processing wire transfers and working with multiple banking platforms
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) required
