Senior Bookkeeper

Our client is a family office. They seek a Senior Bookkeeper to join their Edison, NJ office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full accounting cycle for multiple entities, including personal, trust, and LLC accounts
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments, deposits, and accurate recordkeeping
- Reconcile bank, credit card, investment, and loan accounts while resolving discrepancies
- Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and support month-end and year-end close activities
- Monitor cash flow, account balances, wire transfers, and overall liquidity
- Track household expenses, budgets, capital projects, and financial activity across entities
- Coordinate with external tax advisors on year-end reporting, tax preparation, and related documentation
- Maintain organized financial records, vendor information, contracts, and insurance documentation
- Support payroll administration for household employees, including payroll tax compliance
Required
- 2+ years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience
- Family Office, Client Services, or Public Accounting industry experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Experience managing multiple entities and intercompany transactions
- Experience processing wire transfers and working with multiple banking platforms
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) required
