Step into a highly rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a paraprofessional in a vibrant school environment just outside Chicago. This full-time role runs from now through the end of the current school year, with the potential to continue into the 2025/2026 academic year. You'll be working Monday through Friday, providing assistance for approximately 32 hours each week.

In this dynamic position, you’ll contribute as both a classroom aide and an individual aide, playing a key role in supporting students ages 3–21 with a wide range of disabilities, including autism and various behavioral needs. Every day offers new experiences as you collaborate with teachers and specialists to help students thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois PEL or Paraprofessional Certification (required)
• Adaptive, patient, and compassionate approach to diverse learning styles and behaviors
• Prior experience working with students with autism or behavioral challenges is highly preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist individual students and groups with classroom activities and specialized programs
• Support students with daily routines, social engagement, and behavioral management
• Implement teacher-directed interventions and behavior plans
• Collaborate with staff, therapists, and families to promote student growth
• Maintain a safe, encouraging, and respectful environment for all learners
