This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility while allowing therapists to connect with clients in an outpatient setting via telehealth. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' mood disorder symptoms, including their intensity, frequency, and duration.

• Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting clear goals that align with their needs and preferences.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote awareness and understanding.

• Continuously monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals for integrated care, ensuring holistic treatment approaches.

• Stay informed on the latest developments in mood disorder research to enhance treatment strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal standards and ethical practices.

• Participate in case consultations, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Advocate for client needs and mental health awareness, working to reduce stigma in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Active Minds, we cater to a diverse client population, particularly those struggling with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clients include individuals from various backgrounds, including but not limited to, homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. This role will empower you to implement effective therapeutic interventions, ultimately contributing to the improvement of clients’ mental health and quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Demonstrated ability to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ personal experiences and challenges.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage administrative responsibilities effectively.
