Work Environment

This full-time position is based in our outpatient office in Sanford, Florida, where teamwork and patient-centered care are at the forefront of our practice. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to determine the best course of treatment for orthopedic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, progress, and rehabilitation goals.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols, educating patients, their families, and support systems on exercises and healing strategies.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and outcomes in compliance with all regulations.
• Engage in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote rehabilitation services and improve access to care.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, ensuring effective collaboration and optimal service delivery.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through in-services and continuing education programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse patient demographic requires sensitivity to cultural backgrounds and a strong commitment to providing equitable care. Each therapist will be expected to implement communication strategies that foster trust and rapport with patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear interaction with patients and interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and other relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based practice and contemporary therapeutic modalities will significantly enhance your ability to deliver effective care.

Compensation and Benefits
