Work Environment

This full-time position operates onsite at our Rehabilitation Center, where you'll be part of a supportive team comprised of experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our center is designed to promote healing and recovery, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and resources that cater to the diverse needs of our patients. With a caseload of approximately one patient per hour, you'll have ample time to provide individualized attention and care, ensuring each patient receives the support they need to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals, challenges, and specific rehabilitation needs.
• Create and implement comprehensive care plans that encompass multiple therapeutic modalities.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment protocols that focus on restoration of function and pain reduction.
• Engage patients in motivational conversations to enhance their compliance and commitment to the rehabilitation process.
• Use advanced manual therapy techniques to facilitate healing and improve joint mobility.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on evaluation outcomes.
• Develop and promote tailored fitness and wellness programs to aid in long-term recovery and lifestyle enhancement.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records using EMR systems, particularly WebPT.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. This challenging yet rewarding patient demographic requires you to utilize your expertise in rehabilitation to reduce reliance on medications and potentially avoid surgical interventions. Fostering positive outcomes for these patients not only aids in their recovery but also contributes to their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A spotless professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in advanced manual therapy techniques relevant to orthopedic conditions.
• Exceptional skills in developing and implementing individualized exercise protocols.
• Experience with EMR platforms, demonstrating expertise in WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient facility is highly desirable.
• Experience with alternative treatment methodologies to complement traditional therapies.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
