Senior Account Executive, State and Local Government

We are hiring senior sales professionals to drive revenue growth in the State & Local Government market. Key Responsibilities Drive revenue, market share, and exceed new pipeline targets in your defined geographic region. Effectively lead and manage active sales opportunities with prospects and customers using the Genesys Way of Selling (MEDDPICC). Understand acquisition and procurement rules and processes to guide new customers through buying. Accurately forecast and exceed monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue targets. Build, maintain, and iteratively evolve Territory Plans to crystallize and focus your strategy and priorities. Create and manage a robust sales pipeline by engaging prospects, partners, and key customers. Collaborate with Genesys Partners, including VARs, Integrators, AppFoundry, and Carrier channel partners to increase awareness of our solutions. Plan initiatives with internal partners such as Business Development Representatives, Field Marketing, Event Marketing, Channel, and Healthcare teams. Present compelling business value propositions with effective written and oral communication skills. Understand your customers’ business and technical requirements to shape product direction. Collaborate with internal business partners, including legal and finance teams, to manage complex contract negotiations. Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management on quarterly and yearly strategies aligned with revenue growth expectations. Accelerate customer adoption and ensure satisfaction with Customer Success Managers. Position the business value of our Digital and AI portfolio and align customer initiatives with Genesys capabilities. Build strong knowledge of customer missions and priorities by researching modernization plans, IT strategic plans, and relevant reports. Minimum Requirements 8+ years of field enterprise sales and/or business development experience focused on State & Local Government AI, enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, customer experience, and/or cloud computing services. Understanding and experience with State & Local Government procurement and funding in direct and indirect models. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. Proficiency with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce (CRM), Clari or similar, Zoom, ZoomInfo, DocuSign, Workday, and Tableau. Demonstrated proficiency with MEDDPICC, Account Strategy Mapping, and Opportunity Plans. Based in the region with ability to travel at least 25% of the time. Desirable Skills Technical sales and solutions background in customer experience, CCaaS, UCaaS, APIs, infrastructure, AI, telecom, cybersecurity, etc. Consistently exceeding sales quotas. Experience selling to a variety of public sector agencies. Documented industry and customer network. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $111,700.00 – $196,300.00. The role may also be eligible for commissions or performance‑based bonus opportunities.
