Senior Administrative Coordinator, SOE

The Senior Administrative Coordinator (SAC) supports the department Chair, Academic Program Directors (APDs), and faculty in all day‑to‑day department business and operations functions. Responsibilities Department Operations: Manage department‑wide calendars, support scheduling for Chairs and APDs, act as the first contact for department and program inquiries, coordinate meetings and special events (virtual and in person), maintain contact lists, student rosters, and email accounts, recruit and supervise Graduate Assistants, process student employment paperwork, coordinate faculty and staff recruitment and onboarding, and collaborate with SOE and university units on onboarding and facility coordination. Office Management: Maintain an organized and professional office environment, order supplies and instructional materials, provide support for classroom and conference room technology systems, report service needs to campus agencies, and collaborate with the SOE Resource Manager on facilities, technology, and HR initiatives. Budget and Financial Management: Reconcile department operations budgets, process P‑card expenses and purchase requisitions, manage travel arrangements, execute departmental purchases and invoicing, assist with student scholarship and financial aid awarding, and process vendor, speaker, consulting, and contractor agreements and invoicing. Program Support: Assist and coordinate activities related to student clinical experience and program assessments, support scheduling of comprehensive exams, capstones, thesis, and other culminating activities, and coordinate special projects for the department, affiliated programs, and School of Education. Demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of four years of progressively responsible administrative support experience; preferably in higher education. Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment. Salary Staff Regular Salary range $25.87 – $32.31 per hour. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
