Spanish Linguist for AI Model Training

Apply your native-level Spanish (Spain) skills to improve how AI systems understand and transcribe spoken and written Spanish. You will correct machine-generated transcriptions, add precise metadata and linguistic annotations, and help shape training data that improves model accuracy and fluency. No prior AI experience is required, your language expertise is the primary qualification. The role contributes to an AI data lab that converts real-world subject matter knowledge into high-quality training data and evaluations for next-generation models.

• Review and correct machine-generated Spanish (Spain) transcriptions for accuracy, naturalness, and adherence to project guidelines.
• Apply metadata tags and detailed linguistic annotations to audio and text datasets.
• Validate each item against linguistic and project-specific requirements, maintaining high quality and consistency.
• Use strong attention to detail to find and fix transcription and annotation errors.
• Communicate clearly in writing and, when needed, verbally with the project team and the customer’s team to resolve language ambiguities.
• Collaborate with team members to improve data quality and suggest process improvements when inconsistencies appear.
• Work independently to meet deadlines and quality expectations with minimal supervision.

• Fluent Spanish with native or near-native competence in the Spain dialect, with strong linguistic intuition.
• Demonstrated experience in transcription, annotation, or applying metadata tags to language data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote, multicultural collaboration.
• Ability to critically assess and correct machine-generated linguistic output.
• Comfort using digital tools for managing and annotating language data.

• Prior experience as an audio engineer, data annotator, or professional transcriber.
• Familiarity with language technology and AI-driven transcription tools.
• Background in linguistics or a related field.

Contractor role, fully remote. Independent contractor relationship, responsible for completing assigned tasks and meeting quality standards and deadlines. Candidates should be able to work autonomously in a remote setting.

Pay rate: $10 - $20 per hour.
