Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with an emphasis on co-occurring disorders, ensuring direct service hours are consistently maintained.

• Perform comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments to develop a thorough understanding of each client’s needs.

• Facilitate the creation and ongoing review of personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring their goals align with therapeutic strategies.

• Devise aftercare and discharge plans to support clients' transitions from treatment to independent living, focusing on long-term success.

• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of counseling services delivered, adjusting approaches as necessary to optimize client care.

• Engage in administrative duties as directed by your supervisor, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will be working primarily with adults facing mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our client population is diverse, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds, ages, and family dynamics. You will develop treatment approaches that are culturally sensitive and tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, thereby fostering a supportive therapeutic alliance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related discipline is required.

• Must be validly licensed as an LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or possess a PsyD in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is essential.

• Demonstrated experience in providing marriage and family therapy services is preferred, particularly with varied populations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with clients.

• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team framework.

• A history of working with chemically dependent individuals is highly beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
