Employment Type: Temporary Part-Time Department: Biology Campus : Main Campus Salary Grade: SEIU C - $19.33 Remote Work Option: Fully In-Person (May be subject to change) Additional Information: Work Hours: This position will be scheduled daytime hours, Monday - Friday for 25-hours per week. General Summary: Performs general clerical duties including operating acentralized telephone system or telephone console, receiving and placingtelephone calls for the entire campus and greeting and identifying campusvisitors. Requirements: Educationand Experience: High school diploma or GED with at least 6 months ofexperience operating a switchboard. Certifications/Licensures: N/A. Skills/Abilities Requirements: Must maintain a friendly courteous demeanor in a busy environment. Requires the ability to multi task, work well with others, and customer service mentality (both internal and external). This position must also be able to identify and react to potential security risk. Ability to travel to perform work duties at any campus or center location within the CCAC system. Must be able to operate various office equipment, including a personal computer and appropriate College software packages or equivalent. Should possess good organizational, customer service, communication, interpersonal and clerical skills. Detail oriented, ability to multi-task meet deadlines and be a team player. Required to have regular and timely attendance. PhysicalRequirements, If Applicable: Must be able to workin a general office environment with the ability to sit for at least 2 hourswithout interruption. Duties: Provides quality customer service to both internal and external customers. Sets up and operates a centralized telephone system; receives and routes telephone calls; takes and delivers messages; provides general information to callers; pages personnel as needed. Receives, greets, screens and directs campus visitors/vendors in accordance with campus security policy; notifies personnel of the arrival of visitors. Performs various clerical duties including typing, filing, copying and maintaining various logs and records. Trains personnel to operate the switchboard as necessary; advise trainees as to what type of information is to be publicized by the information booth. Identifies potential security issues and possible safety threats from a distance without getting personally involved and immediately report. Perform all duties in accordance with applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements, board policies and administrative regulations and directives. Performs other clerical duties for specific/unique needs of the department. Performs other related duties as required or assigned. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
