Our client is seeking a seasoned Retail Industry Advisor to drive growth and delivery within our Retail Business Consulting practice in North America. Responsible for Partnering with regional and national retailers to deliver high-impact transformation programs spanning strategy, operating-model redesign, process improvement, and technology enablement.

The ideal candidate combines deep consulting expertise, commercial acumen, and hands-on retail transformation experience, with a passion for tackling complex business challenges across store operations, customer experience, digital commerce, and supply chain optimization.

This is a senior client-facing role requiring a balance of consulting excellence, business development, and relationship leadership — ideal for a commercially minded professional who thrives in dynamic retail environments and enjoys building trusted partnerships that drive measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute the retail consulting strategy
\n
• Lead transformation engagements that enhance business performance across merchandising, operations, supply chain, and omnichannel functions.
\n
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior retail executives, offering actionable insights and pragmatic recommendations that create value and accelerate growth.
\n
• Collaborate closely with global and regional consulting leaders to align go-to-market priorities, delivery standards, and capability development plans.
\n
• Contribute to the growth and differentiation of Retail Consulting Practice by developing new frameworks, methodologies, and points of view on retail transformation.
\n
• Partner with digital, analytics, and technology teams to design and deliver integrated business–technology solutions that bridge strategy and execution.
\n
• Support internal capability building, and knowledge-sharing across the broader North America Retail Consulting network.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 15+ years of combined experience in retail consulting, transformation, or strategy, ideally within a top-tier consulting firm or major retail organization.
\n
• Proven track record of building and growing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and leading pursuits to closure.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in business development, solution design, and account growth within the retail industry.
\n
• Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently at the C-suite level.
\n
• Deep understanding of current retail trends including digital transformation, AI-enabled operations, customer personalization, and omnichannel growth.
\n
• Leadership experience delivering consulting or transformation engagements across multiple retail functions — from store operations and supply chain to digital commerce and merchandising.
\n
• Proven ability to grow consulting revenue through client trust-building, proactive engagement, and strategic opportunity management.
\n
• Experience working in cross-functional, global delivery models integrating onshore and offshore teams.
\n
• Strong commercial orientation with P&L understanding, financial modeling, and ROI-driven decision-making.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with executive stakeholders to shape transformation roadmaps.
\n
• Exposure to analytics, digital, or technology initiatives that link business value with measurable performance improvement.
