About the Position

Job Title: Electrophysiology Monitoring Technician Profession: Client EP Tech Specialty: EP Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10.0 Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years License: RCES or Radiologic Tech License or RN License (New York Only) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association Only) Must-Have: Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience preferred but not required. GE (MacLab & CardioLab) system experience preferred but not required. Description: Main function of the Electrophysiology Monitor is to assist the Electrophysiologist during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implants. The ability to implement EP pacing monoverses and understanding is required. Responsible for communicating with the physician and in-room staff to ensure all equipment and supplies are available. Assists in facilitating room turnover and on-time starts for timely patient care. Coordinates with the charge nurse and third-party vendors to ensure all team members will be available for scheduled procedures. Typical procedures performed include PFA and RF ablations for Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, Atrial Tachycardia, AV Node Reentrant Tachycardia, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, and other ablations. Device implants include traditional pacemakers, ICDs, subcutaneous ICDs, leadless pacemakers, loops, and left atrial appendage closure devices. The ideal candidate is a professional healthcare worker who is patient-focused and team-driven. They should have the ability to adapt to lab changes and help maintain a positive work environment.
