Position Details Position Title: 2026-27 AY Lecturer Pool – Chicana/o & Latina/o Studies Work Type: Instructional Faculty – Temporary/Lecturer (Adjunct/Part‑time) Job No: 555658 Location: Southern California: Los Angeles College: College of Ethnic Studies Department: Chicana/o & Latina/o Studies (CLS) Category: Ethnic and Multicultural Studies Responsibilities Teach assigned courses, including preparation, grading, and holding office hours. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs. Course assignments, including dates, time, and modality, are determined by the Department Chair under the direction of the College Dean. Minimum Qualifications Appropriate degree from an accredited university: bachelor’s for lower‑division courses; master’s for upper‑division undergraduate courses; doctoral degree or master’s with substantial teaching experience for graduate courses. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at a college level. Ability to work effectively in a multiethnic, multicultural environment. Commitment to student‑centered learning and teaching. Proficiency in written and oral use of the English language. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, inclusive environment. Relevant work experience and training. Compensation Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary schedule (based on 7/1/2024): Lecturer A/2 (FTE): $5,507 – $6,677 Lecturer B/3 (FTE): $6,221 – $13,224 Lecturer C/4 (FTE): $6,825 – $14,523 Lecturer D/5 (FTE): $8,593 – $15,211 The anticipated monthly hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
