Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 18 weeks (with an option for 13 weeks) Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required Must-Have: - 12 months of permanent experience in specialty applying for, PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required. - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation, an acceptable score on both assessments is required. - Traveler must work at least every other holiday. Description: This role involves providing care in the step-down unit. The position requires expertise in either direct patient care or related services. Schedules will require flexibility, and shifts may vary to meet operational needs. Applicants should be prepared to float to care for the same patient population as necessary. Candidates must provide one professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director from an assignment worked in the past 12 months. Active certifications must be in hand and cannot be pending. Candidates with any background hits will be reviewed, and open cases will not be accepted. A nicotine-free policy applies, with exceptions for specific job roles. All candidates must undergo a drug screening within 12 months of starting. Continuous contracts for a minimum of one year will lead to additional competency requirements. All modules required for ongoing education must be completed annually. Time requirements for modules may vary by specialty. Annual modules may involve billable hours, dependent on contractual continuity.
