Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students in a specialized autism support classroom near Littleton, CO. This position focuses on providing guidance and structure within an experienced team at an elementary school, serving a group of older students from 1st to 5th grade. Consistency and expertise are urgently needed to help stabilize the classroom environment and to mentor a paraprofessional aspiring to extend her skillset.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
• Experience working in K-5 settings preferred, especially with individuals on the autism spectrum
• Comfort providing physical support, including diapering and co-regulation assistance
• Ability to collaborate with support staff and offer mentorship, especially to paraprofessional team members
• Rapid adaptability to meet urgent classroom and scheduling needs
• Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
• Must complete district-specific background check and fingerprint clearance prior to start

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead one of two ASD classrooms for grades 1–5, focusing on stability, behavior support, and instructional consistency
• Mentor and guide an enthusiastic paraprofessional preparing for alternative licensure
• Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention strategies
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and other school staff to maximize student progress
• Track student data, document progress, and adjust plans as needed
• Provide physical support when necessary and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
