Front Line Manager

Position Overview As a Front-Line Manager in Training, you will participate in a structured six-week development program designed to prepare you for success as a Front-Line Manager within CarMax’s Service Operations department. This program equips you with the tools, knowledge, and leadership skills needed to manage operational processes and lead high-performing teams. Training includes learning the roles and responsibilities of Service Operations, understanding end-to-end production processes such as inventory management, and cosmetic/mechanical repair. Upon successful completion, you will transition into one of the following leadership roles: Flow Mechanical Manager, Flow Cosmetic Manager, Flow Supply Manager, Inventory Manager, or Service Manager. Support execution of store procedures and operational processes to ensure efficiency and compliance. Complete CarMax’s Management Development Program and apply leadership principles in real-world scenarios. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality and meet production goals. Model CarMax values by fostering integrity, respect, and a customer-first mindset in all interactions. Prepare for transition into a leadership role, ensuring readiness to manage associates and drive performance. Responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) program for your department and/or location, including but not limited to self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE. Required Qualifications Ability to lead and manage teams effectively to achieve operational goals. Strong skills in data interpretation and record accuracy for process compliance. Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interactions with associates and customers. Proficiency in common and proprietary software systems. Valid Driver’s License and flexibility to work in indoor/outdoor environments, including inclement weather. Willingness to work on varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with occasional travel. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of management experience preferred.
