The Territory Manager will be responsible for driving sales, margin, and overall customer relationships with the accounts in their assigned region. This individual will also be responsible for generating new accounts in the selected area as well as determining potential growth within existing accounts. Key Relationships You will report directly to the Sales Manager. This role is also remote. Location This role will require travel between Connecticut, Central and Western Massachusetts, and North of New York City. The ideal candidate will be based somewhere between Springfield, MA and New Haven, CT. Critical Outcomes Seek out new profitable opportunities while safeguarding our current business, ensuring both short-term and long-term financial gains for the branch. Achieve sales targets that are in line with the financial and customer targets of the branch/region. Ensure Metrie enters a market where it can profitably secure a leading market share by fostering close customer relationships. Effectively represent Metrie’s interests when dealing with customers, the community, employees and suppliers. Who You Are We would love to hear from you if you have: A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Must have door experience Love to work in an outside sales environment Experience in dealing with purchasing agents, senior buyers and small business owners You have a passion for customer service and enjoy building rapport with prospective and existing customers You are passionate about learning, growing your knowledge and skills and have strong analytical skills. You demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills You have excellent organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a fast-paced environment. You are proficient in web-based computer systems (SAP, HubSpot and Microsoft Office Suite - Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) You have a valid driver’s license for business travel purposes.
