Lead RN - Surgery (OR) - Ortho Spine - La Jolla Green

This is a full time, benefited position as a Lead OR RN over the ortho spine service line. We are looking for someone with Ortho Spine experience with the following procedures: ALIF, PLIF, ACDF, TLIF, LLIF/XLIF, discectomy, laminectomy, foraminotomy, corpectomy, microdiscectomy, etc. The shift is a 10 hour day shift 3 days/week 0645-1730 & 1 day/week 0645-1630. It is located at Scripps Green in Torrey Pines La Jolla. On call-varied shifts with 45 minute call back time is required. There is a bonus of $4K and a relocation incentive $3K to eligible new hires.

The Lead OR RN responsibilities:

• Work directly with Surgeons for service line needs
• Work & collaborate with CST Leads on service specific needs
• Work & collaborate for team education needs with Clinical Mentors
• Monitor, review & confirm scheduled cases in EPIC 24 hours prior to scheduled cases
• DPC building, editing, revising
• Verify Equipment needs
• Work with Charge RNs/Clinical Mentors on daily assignments

Qualifications:

• Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing. California Registered Nurse License Circulating experience with ortho spine service line One (1) year of recent surgery or operating room RN experience in an acute care setting Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
• Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: Bachelor's degree in nursing 3 years or more experience in Nursing experience is preferred 2 years or more of related experience CNOR certificate Leadership experience
