Help Desk Technician

Russell Tobin is hiring an IT Service Desk Agent/Help Desk Technician to support our client, a leading financial services organization based in Alpharetta, GA . This is a contract with the possibility of extension or conversion and a great opportunity to grow your career in IT with a well-established organization. Location: Alpharetta, GA — Candidate MUST be local Job Type: 6-12-month contract with possibility of extension or conversion Schedule: 24/7 environment; varied shifts, including weekends and holidays Pay Range: $23-25/hour Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for end users via phone and chat Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system issues in real time Accurately log incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in a ticketing system Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams while managing user expectations Deliver a high-quality customer experience with professionalism and empathy Handle multiple tickets simultaneously while meeting SLAs and performance metrics Requirements High school diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience 2+ years of IT support/service desk experience; call center or high-volume environment preferred Strong customer service and communication skills with a client-facing mindset Solid understanding of Windows OS and enterprise applications Basic hardware troubleshooting skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 environment Additional Information Opportunity to gain experience with a well-established financial institution Fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong opportunity for career growth in IT and operations Build both technical and client-facing skills Potential for conversion to a permanent position Russell Tobin offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
