Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Syracuse. You will collaborate closely with a team consisting of two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, creating a supportive and synergistic work culture aimed at achieving the best possible patient outcomes. Your standard work hours will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for work-life balance while meeting the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Strong Mind, you will:

• Assess and fulfill the health objectives and needs of patients, ensuring individualized care plans that focus on their unique challenges and goals.
• Manage a manageable patient load efficiently, typically treating one patient per hour, thus allowing you the necessary time to deliver quality care.
• Implement evidence-based treatment modalities and develop comprehensive care plans incorporating diverse techniques tailored to improve patient mobility.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, focusing on maximizing their functional abilities and encouraging adherence to prescribed exercise regimens.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and improve health outcomes.
• Document patient progress meticulously, monitor treatment effects, and maintain effective communication with both patients and colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals covered by private medical insurance seeking rehabilitation for a variety of conditions. You will work with a diverse range of cases, focusing especially on orthopedic outpatient treatments, providing you with extensive experience in various physical therapies. Regular interaction and rapport-building with patients are key to fostering a supportive healing environment.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• A clean professional record with no board actions or disciplinary measures against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and understanding of therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience

While a Bachelor's Degree is the minimum education requirement, candidates with prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings will stand out. Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, is highly desirable, as it helps streamline patient documentation and treatment records. In addition, experience developing and implementing tailored exercise regimens will be beneficial for this role.

Compensation and Benefits
