Reason for Coverage: Maternity Leave Coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (possible)
Credentialing Timeline: 90 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Chest tube management
Blake drain management
Pigtail management
ABG (Arterial Blood Gas)
NGT (Nasogastric Tube)
G and J feeding tubes
H&P for transferred patients

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: No state license required
Board: NCCPA
DEA: Yes, required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Experience: Minimum 1 year

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage thoracic surgery patients on the floor, step-down, and ICU.
Perform chest tube, blake drain, and pigtail management.
Obtain ABGs, insert NGT, and manage G and J feeding tubes.
Serve as first responder for codes until fellow arrives.
Conduct history and physical exams for transferred patients.
