Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized physical therapy plans of care based on thorough assessments and within the framework of physician referrals.
• Supervise and support Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure effective execution of therapeutic interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, employing diagnostic tests to assess motor functions, joint mobility, and overall physical capabilities.
• Assist patients in performing manual therapeutic exercises, including instructing them on non-manual exercises tailored to their specific rehabilitation goals.
• Administer various physical agents, such as traction and massage, to relieve pain and promote healing.
• Continuously monitor and record patient progress, documenting updates in clinical records including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge reports.
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient outcomes, plan modifications, and share insights that shape comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding home exercises, use of assistive devices, and strategies to maintain independence.
• Evaluate and recommend modifications for any prosthetic and orthotic devices to ensure optimal use and patient comfort.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in training sessions to stay current with evidence-based practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation facility caters primarily to orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Patients range from athletes in need of post-injury rehabilitation to elderly clients requiring assistance with mobility due to degenerative diseases. Your ability to connect with a diverse patient population while adapting treatment plans to meet their distinct needs will be vital in helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; however, candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) are preferred.
• A proven track record with a history free from sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques, with the capability to tailor therapeutic solutions to each patient's requirements.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, to maintain accurate and efficient documentation.
• Strong commitment to ongoing education and familiarity with the latest research and advancements in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years' experience in a clinical physical therapy setting is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor PTAs is a plus for this role.
• Experience working within an interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience. We offer an attractive benefits package that includes:
