If you are someone who demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and innovation, we invite you to join our team.This role will be a hybrid role with an expectation of four days in office in our Phoenix office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP.Position Summary The Marketing Specialist will support a variety of legal marketing, business development and communication initiatives focused on advancing the firm’s brand within the Phoenix market. The position works directly with the firm’s Director of Marketing and Business Development and a variety of related professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesWorks directly with office leadership, attorneys, directors and managers to strategically drive the firm’s marketing goals in the Phoenix market.Develops relationships with attorneys to serve as point of contact for day-to-day requests and marketing and business development needs and understands the market, office initiatives and representations of key clients.Organizes and hosts client-facing and community events including the preparation of conference/webinar materials. Works with a team to manage all aspects of events including concept and agenda development with attorneys invitation, coordination with venue, among other event duties. Evaluates return on investment before and after each event and closely manages budget.Handles directory submissions including Chambers and others.Strategizes with shareholders on responses to RFPs and proposals including analyzing market research, prospective clients and business sectors, in coordination with practice and office professionals. Drafts responses and prepares presentations, as necessary.Helps prepare data for nominations, media surveys and reports.Writes, edits and distributes marketing materials, newsletters, conference materials, client updates, website content and other client communications.Makes recommendations for and supports office sponsorships, memberships and event attendance at client and community events in order to increase the visibility and influence of the firm in the Phoenix market.Works with the firmwide marketing team as it relates to client-facing and internal marketing materials for Phoenix, including attorney biographies, practice area description updates, experience tracking news and activities data, press releases, website content, etc. Imparts knowledge of the Phoenix market including the business community and key charitable and civic organizations.Assists with and manages a variety of short and long-term projects and attorney requests.QualificationsSkills & CompetenciesA self-starter and team player, able to accept direction, yet work independentlyStrong prioritization, problem solving, and time management skillsHigh attention to detail with excellent multi-tasking and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, including solid composition, research, and editing skillsFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment that works well under pressureTech-savvy problem solver, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and toolsStrong research judgment and ability to synthesize information accurately and efficientlyEducation & Prior ExperienceBachelor’s degree requiredFour to six years of relevant experience in marketing or business developmentExperience at a law firm or other professional services firm is preferredTechnologyHigh proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook requiredDemonstrates a basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), including core capabilities, limitations, and importance of data privacy, accuracy, verification, and ethical considerations within a professional services environment, and willingness to grow knowledge of AI platformsProactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging AI and related technologies and contributes to a culture of innovationGT is an EEO employer with an inclusive workplace committed to merit-based consideration and review without regard to an individual’s race, sex, or other protected characteristics and to the principles of non-discrimination on any protected basis.
