Record Center Specialist 1

Job Summary

This role involves physical tasks such as kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending frequently. The primary responsibilities include moving, arranging, lifting, and loading storage boxes, bins, and totes, which can weigh between 24 lbs and over 100 lbs. Employees use manual methods and hand carts to transport boxes.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
• Manually lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
• Lift and carry boxes weighing from 10-100 lbs regularly without assistance.
• Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.
• Read and write English to process orders and track inventory using the proprietary computer system.
• Operate a handheld scanner, climb and balance on ladders, and load and shrink wrap pallets.
• Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Capability to work independently to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including navigating inclines and stairs.
• Must wear protective footwear meeting ASTM F2413-11 standards with a slip-resistant rating of "Better or Best".

Work Schedule

Normal work schedule is 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. 9am - 5pm


Additional Information

• Requires the worker to be a US Person to meet ITAR regulations.
• Potential for the position to transition from temporary to permanent.
• Public Trust Clearance does not apply.
