Automation Engineer (Siemens Step7 PLC)

Technical Source is currently in search of a PLC Automation Engineer for an engineering firm that services the pharmaceutical industry in North Carolina. This specific role will support Life Science clients in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. It is a long-term contract opportunity with potential for conversion to full-time after 12 months of employment.
Responsibilities of the PLC Automation Engineer include:
- Program, Troubleshoot, and Modify Siemens Step7 PLCs
- Support CQV Activities for Automated Process Equipment and Utilities
- Manage Automation Change Controls for PLC, HMI, and Validated Control Systems
- Review and Approve Validation Documentation using KNEAT or similar platforms
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Qualifications of the PLC Automation Engineer include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Preferred)
- 5+ Years of Experience Designing/Programming Siemens Control Systems
- Extensive Experience with DeltaV
- History of Working in a Pharmaceutical Environment
