Essential Job Functions Greets incoming personnel, including the check‑in/out procedures of students, parents, and other visitors. Performs routine clerical duties such as copying, typing, answering/making telephone calls, taking attendance, ordering supplies, and basic troubleshooting. Generates reports on student attendance and creates letters to parents regarding student absences. Creates and maintains the student attendance database and student records. Prepares homework requests per student absences. Sorts and distributes all interoffice/postal mail as necessary. Works in areas other than the classroom, i.e., computer lab or library, as appropriate. Performs additional non‑instructional duties including, but not limited to, cafeteria duty, bus duty, hall duty, and office duty as assigned by the principal or designee. Requests transportation for students as needed. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of two (2) years working with children within an instructional, educational, or related setting. Employment Terms Position may be offered as a 10‑Month (185 Day) contract, at a minimum of 7.5 hours worked per day. This position is evaluated annually.
